One of the more recent treatments to be offered by aesthetic practitioners, PDO threads offer unique results to any other treatment currently on offer. Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are extremely thin, medical grade threads that are made of protein. They are inserted into the face and body, via a cannula, to provide a lifting and tightening effect. This effect is achieved as PDO relaxes muscles and tendons whilst also provoking a foreign body reaction, which improves blood flow at the treatment site. As a result of this, there is the effect of new collagen being made in the skin, creating a youthful appearance. Treatment areas include, but are not limited to, the cheeks, brow, jawline, neck, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, arms, thighs and abdomen.
The course consists of two parts: online pre reading and an onsite practical training session. The online pre reading will teach you essential information that will ensure you excel in your practical session. The practical session is part of a full day of onsite learning. During this, you will have the opportunity to administer PDO threads to a model. This will enhance your skills and allow your confidence to grow. Upon completion of the course, you will be fully qualified and confident to provide PDO threads to your clients. The total cost of this course excluding VAT is £995 and including VAT it is £1194.

Our PDO threads course consists of theory and practical components. The theory modules will be taught online, whilst you will also attend a practical session to master your techniques. During the practical session, you will administer this procedure on models provided by Ask Academy. The course will also cover how you can purchase your insurance for this procedure, as well as all supplies you will need. The practical element of the course involves you working with models to deliver PDO threads. This hands on experience, as well as full support from the training staff, will give you the skills and confidence needed to complete this course. Your online theory section of the course will be yours to access whenever you feel like recapping, and we provide refresher days free of charge.
